Are you as sick of all of those promo-heavy, influencer-based lists as I am? Where everything has been crowd sourced via twitter polls, r/Reddit, or Instagram stories? I definitely am.
I don't want to know the coolest place to be, or the #trending eyeshadow palette. I want to know what that person who has moderately similar taste to me is doing. I want to know what she's buying, what she's drinking, what she's wearing. I don't need the best rooftop bar with the gorgeous views where I'll pay a premium for a g+t. I don't need out of my league inspiration, I just need something a bit different than what I'm used to. It may not be the coolest new whatever place, but it may be new to me, or it may have a dish that I haven't tried there.
For a lot of people, that's not enough. And that's great. Sometimes I want to know where to go for a bougie cocktail too, or where to feel cool and young again. But honestly... Those times are few and far between. And this is for those people. The people who don't need a curated aesthetic, an Instagram worthy background, an avocado toast or pay milk latte (unless that's what you're craving).
